Hello
I'm Rohan! An engineer and entrepreneur with 16 years of global tech experience, dedicated to driving sustainable growth in rural India. By combining business enterprise with community impact, my work focuses on promoting organic agricultural practices—specifically regional rice cultivation—and advancing rural literacy through neighborhood library networks in Bengal.
My Story
I bring together over 16 years of experience across the technology industry—including 9 years in the United States—backed by a Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence from UT Austin. Beyond my work in tech, I am an entrepreneur, artist, and advocate for community-led initiatives.
Entrepreneurship & Social Impact
I am the founder of two ventures: Amargrams Services LLP, focused on e-commerce solutions on health and wellbeing, and JDRoyagro LLP (under the trademark royagro), which specializes in tea and rice manufacturing and repackaging, with a dedicated effort to promote the Geographical Indication (GI) tagged rice of North Bengal. Driven by a belief in accessible education and culture, I also spearhead an initiative to establish neighborhood libraries in rural communities across West Bengal.
Creative Pursuits & Music
A lifelong creative and an aspiring globetrotter, I spend my time traveling, writing poetry, and painting. Music has been a core part of my identity for over two decades—I have played the guitar for 20 years, performing with corporate bands in India, and picked up the drums as a band member in the Bellevue School of Rock house band.
